When it comes to shoes, the great divide that separates the sexes is steadily shrinking. I’ve known men with heartier shoe fetishes than some of the most fashionable women I know. I’ve also know men who still can’t seem to grasp that black socks with brown sandals are a highly incongruous match. (And I’m not just referring to my grandfather.) Shoes say a lot about a person. In fact, when I find someone potentially attractive, my first instinct is to look at their face, then their shoes. If the face works but the shoes are off, a colossal amount of points are lost.  However if the shoes work, perhaps even have an element of style, the effects can be quite redeeming even if you aren’t the most exceptional looking cat on the block.

There is a reason why women love men in uniform. As comedian Sandy Brown puts it, “When you see a man in uniform, you can always smell… BENEFITS”. A man in uniform exudes power and authority. He is perceived as responsible, committed, and most importantly, clean and tidy. Not that men who don’t wear uniforms can’t be all those things too. But let’s just say, it’s not a standard. Facial hair is every boy’s passage into manhood. From the very first sprouts to poke out of the corner of the young lad’s upper lip, there is something truly sacred about a man’s facial hair, as precious as a US work visa is to a foreigner working in the States. In fact, the American Mustache Institute (AMI) was specifically established to advocate facial hair and promote greater acceptance of moustaches in the workplace and throughout modern culture. Seriously!
